yes, this is Ba'nh Chu*ng, or it's called "rice cake" , a four-cornered dumpling made of glutinous rice wrapped in rush and phrynium leaves or banana leaves and boiled, filled with green bean paste and fat pork, very delicious lol
 these pics i took when we were making the cake, the first 6 images i took by camera, the last 4 images are from a website about Vietnamese foods 1st and 2nd pic are about after we finish wrap all the 30 cakes, is it nice? it's hard to make it perfectly square shape...and it's took us a whole night to wrap it ^^ 3rd : we put it in a very big cauldron, fill it with water 4th : then cover it by bamboo leaves 5th : after 12 hours cooking, we take it out. yes, 12 hours cooking and I have to take care of it, fill the water in around each hour 6th : now hang it ... ^^ the last 4 image you can see how they're making it, it's a step before wrap the cake and what's the cake look like after cooking and open it so how is it??  |
